Route description
Day 1 - From Tangier to Chefchaouen
Departure from the hotel/riad at 8:30am to Chefchaouen´s city.
Stop in Tetouán with a guided tour through the alleys of Moorish´s architecture. The Medina of Tetouán is a UNESCO World Heritage Site knowing for being one of the most complete and untouched ancient cities in Morocco. Its great mellah (walled Jewish quarter) is known as the Little Jerusalem.
In the afternoon, arrival at the mountainous Chefchaouen, the blue pearl built by Moroccans from Andalusia. Stroll through its alleys with souks and blue houses.

Day 2 - From Chefchaouen to Fès
After breakfast, departure towards Fès with a stop to visit Volubilis.
Volubilis (Walila) is the archaeological site of a Roman city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Situated on a fertile agricultural plain, it developed from the 3rd century BC as a Phoenician-Carthaginian settlement, growing rapidly under Roman rule from the 1st century BC. Its prosperity, from olive trees, cereal cultivation and wild animals for gladiator´s shows, led to the construction of many rich urban houses, with large floor mosaics. The city was taken by local tribes around the year 285 and was never reconquered by Rome.

Day 3 - Fès – Guided tour
Guided tour of the most interesting points in the imperial city of Fès. Meet:
- Fès El Bali, the oldest medina in the city, dating from the 9th century, considered a UNESCO Cultural Heritage site along with the medinas of Marrakech, Essaouira and Tetouán. A real labyrinth with huge defensive gates.
- Bab Boujloud, the Blue Door.
- Boujloud Square.
- Seraffine Square.
- Nejjarine Fountain.
- Moulay Idriss II’s Zaouia, temple built in 1440. Idriss was the founder of Fès and ruler of Morocco during the 9th century. Locals believe that visiting this building brings protection and health.
- Al Attarine, one of the many daaras in Fès, founded in 1310 and still in operation today. With stunning architecture, it is full of arabesques and tiles.
- Al Karaouiyne University, the oldest university in the world, founded in 859 by a woman. It is one of the biggest ancient educational center. Nowadays it is an university and koranic school, besides having its own mosque. Unfortunately it´s only allowed entrance of muslim visitors.
At the famous Chouara tannery, remember to always keep mint leaf close to your nose!

Day 4 - From Fès to Rabat
After breakfast, departure to Rabat with a stop in Meknes.
Tour to discover the medieval city of Bab Mansour Gate and Lahdim Square.
Dinner and accommodation in Rabat.
Day 5 - From Rabat (FREE DAY) to Casablanca
Rabat is the administrative capital of the country and holds a lot of beauty. We suggest the option of a guided or free tour to discover the Tower of Hassan, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Kasbah des Oudayas.
At appropriate time, departure to Casablanca for dinner and hotel accommodation.
Day 6 - From Casablanca (FREE DAY) to Marrakech
The architecture of Casablanca is a French version of Arab-Andalusian, with white buildings with simple lines and, therefore, called Casa Branca. The city was destroyed by the earthquake in 1755. At that time many spanish merchants settled in the city and from 1907, the french promoted its development.
We recommend a free or guided tour to visit the beautiful Moorish architecture of the Hassan II Mosque and the Quartier Habbous, the New Medina, filled with souks where shoppers bargain for moroccan clothes, fabrics and spices. Visit a traditional bakery for almond candy, marron glacé, and stuffed dates!
At the appropriate time, departure to Marrakech for dinner and overnight at the hotel/riad.
Day 7 - Marrakech – Guided tour
After a delicious breakfast, guided tour of the enigmatic Marrakech that will take you to the best of the city: Almedina, the old medina, UNESCO Cultural Heritage, Jaama El Fna Square and its souks, Madrasa Ben Youssef, Le Jardin Secret. If you haven’t tried it yet, take the opportunity to taste the famous thé à la menthe (mint tea).
Tour duration: 5 hours approx.
Dinner at the hotel.
Day 8 - Marrakech – return to Tangier
If your return is from Marrakech, take the opportunity to visit the Majorelle Garden, Bahia Palace, Badi Palace and Saadies Tombs.
If necessary, departure to Tangier.
