Morocco
A memorable experience
Morocco is a country full of soul. Located in northwest Africa, it is characterized by a rugged mountainous interior, large tracts of desert and a long coastline along the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. The capital is Rabat and the most populous city is Casablanca. The foundation of the first Moroccan state dates back to 788 and today it is a Constitutional Monarchy with an elected parliament, a member of the Arab League. The Moroccan people have Amazigh and Arab origins, a minority of sub-Saharan Africans and European influences. The predominant religion is Islam and the official languages are Arabic and Tamazigh. The Moroccan Arabic dialect Darija and French are also spoken.
To visit Morocco is to be enchanted by an unexpected treasure of history, beauty and magic occupied 300,000 years ago. Beyond Phoenician settlements, kingdoms of Carthaginian and Roman civilizations, now each of its cities maintains its cultural prominence for you to discover. Beautiful beaches loved by surfers, desert fortresses, white and blue imperial cities and splendid Arab architecture.
To know this unique country is to immerse yourself in the customs of its people, visit typical houses, listen to their music, dance, smell the aromas of the souks, taste the famous mint tea and go home with someone else!
